Almost Famous

Almost Famous is comedy-drama first shown 9 years ago. It's about a 15 year old kid named William Miller. Miller is an aspiring writer who is hired by Rolling Stone magazine to write about and tour with an up and coming band called Stillwater.

Miller builds a strong bond with Penny Lane – a Stillwater enthusiast; who then differentiates herself from an average groupie.

"We are not groupies. Groupies sleep with rock stars because they want to be near someone famous. We are here because of the music, we inspire the music. We are Band Aids."

Miller unravels the true undertakings of a life surrounded by rock and roll. He sees the twists and struggles of a band striving to make it big and realizes that they're just like any other band hoping that they would simply look cool.

"great art is about conflict and pain and guilt and longing and love disguised as sex, and sex disguised as love."
