an icon in every age.

Vogue's august 2008's ageless issue showed a few women who at every age represent success in all aspects of their lives and made it seem that age is simply just a number. Taking inspiration from that concept, I twisted it a bit and came up with the idea of having a few iconic women who I aspire to be when I turn in that specific age, thus the title “an icon in every age”. Here are some notable and fashionable women who all have graced along New York City.

When in my 20's: OLIVIA PALERMO

Olivia Palermo is a young "social" who works at DVF's PR department along with The City's Whitney Port. Though many controversies struck her, some concerning her alleged conflict with all of Manhattan’s elite women especially Tinsley Mortimer, I still think that she’s probably innocent of all that and she seems to be a nice person even if MTV portrays her to be the opposite.

Palermo lives in a beautiful one bedroom apartment in Tribeca, with elegant furniture such as her vintage Hermes tray and her amazing walk in closet.

I like how she dresses. Her ensembles always have these elements which makes it look elegant and classic yet still new and fashionable.

Her basic pieces include a clean cut blazer, skinny pants, pumps and statement jewelry.

When in my 30's to 40's: TINSLEY MORTIMER

Tinsley Mortimer is the reigning socialite in Manhattan. She went to Columbia University and married Topper Mortimer, a hedge fund executive. :) She's a fashion designer and launched her handbag line Samantha Thavasa by Tinsley Mortimer.

Like any other socialite, Tinsley Mortimer has held charity events and product launches for both her bag and clothing line and also for Dior.

When in my 50's to 60's: ANNA WINTOUR

As you all know, Anna Wintour has been American Vogue's editor in chief for decades. Her pristine bob haircut, pitch black sunglasses and clean cut ensembles are practically her trademark.

Its quite ironic to think that a high school dropout such as Anna Wintour can turn into someone so successful and world renowned.

Here, with her daughter Bee Shaffer - an aspiring journalist.
